Kindly hosting members for the THBC's annual summer meeting and herd visit on Wednesday 17 June were John & Pam King of the Nash herd, near Milton Keynes.
Following a productive meeting and lunch which welcomed many long-standing and newer members alike, and which was the first meeting at the top table for new Club Secretary Adam Stanyer, the group moved to Wood End Farm for a tour of the Nash herd, overall winner of THBC Herd Competition in 2025.
Members viewed impressive cow groups on the Kings' traditional grassland farm, as well as some promising yearling bulls and high-quality two-year-old steers, finishing with a look at the herd's senior homebred stock bull Nash Postman, a son of the 1980 Royal Show Champion Westwood Postman.
Closing out the day, Club Chairman Glenn Pritchard presented Mr & Mrs King with a gift of thanks on behalf of all members for hosting the visit, and complimented the herd on the tremendous quality and consistency of the cattle.
