Traditional Herefords at National Hereford Show, Tenbury Wells

At the 40th National Hereford Show held at Tenbury Wells on Saturday 1 August, Traditional Hereford entries from six exhibitors were presented within the breed classes judged by Mr Nigel Heatrick, Co. Monaghan, Ireland, with prizes given for highest placed Traditional in each class, as well as a Champion Traditional Hereford Exhibit and Reserve.

Champion Traditional Hereford Langridge Snowy [*] from Miss F Cook

The Traditional Hereford Championship was awarded to the ten-month-old heifer calf Langridge Snowy, bred and exhibited by Miss F Cook, Cambridge. Sired by Boresisle Richmond EX94 and out of Langridge Sassy, this calf stood third in a strong class of eight entries born on or after 1 October 2025, before being awarded the best Traditional Hereford exhibit.

In reserve was Mrs Sarah Cowle's superb two-year-old in-calf heifer Eutierria Regina 1st, which was born in April 2024, and is sired by Carpenters Brigadier EX90 and out of Boresisle Regina 87th VG86, both parents also having show-winning history of their own.
